Farmers who suffered losses of at least 30% due to the frost in the spring of 2025 can apply through APIA for up to 2,000 euros per hectare, from a total budget of 58.5 million lei, sourced from European funds.

The severe frost in April and May 2025 severely affected orchards in the regions of Banat, Crișana, Maramureș, Dobrogea, Moldova, Muntenia, Oltenia, and Transylvania, causing significant damage. Support can be requested by all agricultural producers with fruit-bearing plantations, including individuals, commercial companies, and agricultural cooperatives. The main condition is to have documents that certify the damages. The maximum amount granted is 10,180.6 lei/ha, and farmers with losses of 90%-100% will receive the full amount, while those with losses between 30%-90% will receive proportional aid. Additionally, insured farmers can also benefit from this support, provided that the total amount from state aid and compensation from insurers does not exceed 80% of eligible expenses.
