Solar Lady, the largest solar power plant in Europe, has obtained the establishment authorization for the first phase from the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE).
The project, developed by Rezolv Energy through West Power Investments, will have an installed capacity of 1,044 MW, enough to cover the consumption of over 280,000 households. ANRE issued this authorization after the developer demonstrated that it has the necessary funding. The project will include an energy storage system and will benefit from bilateral energy sale contracts, as well as contracts for difference (CfD).
Construction completion is estimated for 2028, and energy production will begin in 2027. Solar Lady is part of a regional portfolio of over 2 GW of renewable energy projects developed by Rezolv Energy in Romania and Bulgaria. It will create over 500 jobs and will significantly contribute to the energy transition of the region.
