Born on September 23, 1941, in the commune of Toporăuți, she grew up in Vicovu de Sus, choosing her stage name out of love for her childhood village. The artist has promoted the culture and traditions of Bukovina through her songs, participating in performances both in the country and abroad. She has also acted in Romanian films and published volumes of poetry, thus solidifying her place in the Romanian cultural heritage.
