A mother from Medgidia discovered a snake in the bathtub while preparing to bathe her child, shortly before 5:00 p.m. The woman immediately left the bathroom with the child and called 112.
The reptile was coiled around the shower hose. After receiving the call, the gendarmes went to the home and safely captured the snake, without the woman or child being injured.
Subsequently, the animal was released into its natural habitat, away from the populated area. The intervention took place after the family remained in another room until the team arrived.
Representatives of the Constanța County Gendarmerie Inspectorate published images from the operation to capture and release the reptile. The incident once again draws attention to the unusual situations residents may face, especially in areas where snakes can reach the vicinity of homes. The authorities recommend that, in such cases, people should not attempt to catch the animal themselves and should request assistance via the single emergency number 112.
