A small aircraft, belonging to the Civil Aviation High School, overshot the runway of Bucharest Băneasa Airport "Aurel Vlaicu" during landing, entering the grassy area.

The incident occurred at 08:28, and there were two people on board, who were not injured. After landing, the plane was towed to the school parking lot. The runway was temporarily closed for the safety of air operations, reopening at 09:25. Ryanair and Wizz Air flights scheduled to land at Băneasa were redirected to Henri Coandă Airport. The competent authorities are investigating the incident.
