The National Environmental Guard (GNM) conducted inspections at several construction sites between May 27 and June 6, in collaboration with the 28th Police Section.
These actions aimed to verify compliance with legal obligations regarding the management of waste resulting from construction activities and measures to prevent the impact on air quality. The inspectors identified significant irregularities, particularly related to the improper storage of waste and violations of atmospheric protection legislation.
GNM representatives emphasized that these situations can severely affect the environment and the quality of life of residents in the areas adjacent to the construction sites. Following the inspections, fines totaling 90,000 lei were imposed in Sector 2. The authority announced that it will continue inspections in crowded urban areas to ensure compliance with environmental protection standards, thus preventing negative impacts on public health and environmental quality.
