16-year-old adolescent, sent to trial by DIICOT for trafficking minors in a case from four counties

A 16-year-old teenager has been sent to trial by DIICOT, being accused of trafficking minors, in a case in which he is being investigated for the involvement of a 15-year-old girl in exploitation activities carried out in several counties, during the period of April–May 2026. The investigation shows that the minor allegedly coordinated the victim's movements and interactions, managed contacts, and directly influenced her situation, in the context where the girl began to frequently skip school and distance herself from her family. The case has been forwarded to the Hunedoara Tribunal for resolution.
