A vacuum truck was caught discharging directly into the Bahlui River, in the Brătuleni area, on July 13, and the images were quickly shared on social media. The Environmental Guard received approximately 20 complaints from citizens and has launched an investigation to identify the vehicle involved. The chief commissioner of the Environmental Guard, Gheorghe Bacușcă, confirmed that the possibility of criminal charges for this incident is being considered.

Residents of Alexandru cel Bun have reported the reappearance of unpleasant smells of chemicals and feces, and the authorities are investigating whether there is a connection between the discharge at Brătuleni and these odors. Victor Chircu, who photographed the incident, alerted the authorities immediately, and the vacuum truck operators dispersed to the scene. The Environmental Guard continues to investigate the situation to prevent such incidents in the future.
