Eight people have been arrested preventively after the stone and axe attack on an ambulance in Cluj County.

Two men and a woman have been placed in preventive custody after they attacked an ambulance transporting a patient, in the commune of Recea-Cristur in Cluj. The woman is the only one accused of assault, being suspected of throwing the stone that broke the ambulance's window and injured the driver.

The incident occurred after the suspects were influenced by a viral TikTok video, which claimed that a "black ambulance" was stealing children. The attack took place at the moment when the ambulance, after picking up the patient, was heading to the hospital. The ambulance was blocked by two cars, and the assailants began to throw stones and hit the vehicle with axes.

The crew was alerted by the behavior of the locals, who fled and began to film, which raised suspicions.
