A 17-year-old girl from Gura Humorului was seriously injured on the ski slope in Cârlibaba and transported by SMURD helicopter to Iași.

A 17-year-old girl from Gura Humorului suffered a serious accident on the ski slope in Cârlibaba, being found unconscious after the impact.

The intervention was carried out by the SMURD team, coordinated by Dr. Diana Cimpoeșu, who found that the girl had a cranio-cerebral trauma, loss of consciousness, retrograde amnesia, and a left frontal epicranial hematoma. Additionally, she suffered a cervical trauma and a thoraco-abdominal one. After stabilization at the scene, the teenager was urgently transported by SMURD helicopter to Iași, where she was handed over to the mobile intensive care team upon landing. The doctors at the Emergency Reception Unit of the Neurosurgery Hospital are currently conducting investigations to assess the injuries and determine the necessary treatment.
