Activation of the Red Intervention Plan following a violent collision that occurred in the municipality of Sibiu

A serious accident occurred on Vasile Milea Boulevard in Sibiu, where an ambulance transporting a five-month-old baby and the baby's mother was struck by a car. The images captured by surveillance cameras show the ambulance crossing the intersection with its lights flashing when it was hit head-on.

As a result of the impact, the ambulance was thrown dozens of meters and overturned. Of the six people involved, the baby escaped unharmed, but the mother complained of pain in one leg and was taken to the hospital, while the ambulance driver suffered multiple injuries. Authorities activated the Red Intervention Plan, mobilizing several rescue teams, including SMURD ambulances and rescue vehicles. Witnesses quickly intervened to help the victims.
