Serious accident in Chitila: A man injured after a truck allegedly ran a red light

According to the Ilfov County Police Inspectorate, a traffic accident occurred around 4:35 PM at the intersection of Banatului Road and Islaz Street.

A truck, driven by a 40-year-old man, entered the intersection on a red traffic light, colliding with a car driven lawfully by a 44-year-old man. The impact was so strong that the struck car was projected into another vehicle stopped at the traffic light.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the car sustained serious injuries and was urgently transported to the hospital for medical care. All drivers involved were tested with a breathalyzer, with negative results.

Police officers from the Chitila City Police are conducting investigations to establish the exact circumstances of the accident, under the coordination of prosecutors.
