Section 4 of the Sibiu–Pitești highway, almost completed. Traffic could be opened as early as this autumn.

Works on section 4 of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway, between Tigveni and Curtea de Argeș, have reached a physical completion stage of almost 90%.

Cristian Pistol, the head of CNAIR, announced that there are 300 workers and 100 machines mobilized on the site, and the works are progressing rapidly. At the Momaia tunnel, electrical and mechanical installations are being mounted, and 10 out of the 12 bridges already have the parapets installed. Given the pace of work, traffic could be opened this autumn, approximately 6 months earlier than the contractual deadline set for February 2027. Additionally, works continue on the mountain sections between Cornetu and Boița, which must be completed by 2029.
