A second pig’s head was found Tuesday morning at the headquarters of a company in Tunari, in which Marius Lulea, a former first deputy chairman of AUR, was a shareholder. The incident comes just three days after a similar object was left at the gate of his home.
Lulea filed a complaint after the first incident, and a criminal case was opened in Ilfov County and is being handled by prosecutors. Police are examining footage from surveillance cameras showing a black car from which a man gets out and leaves the pig’s head in front of the house. The authorities are trying to identify both the man and the driver.
Marius Lulea considers the act a death threat and named George Simion in the criminal complaint, saying he could be involved. The AUR leader rejected the accusations and called for a swift investigation based on evidence.
Tudor Păcuraru, a retired SRI colonel, warned that the repetition of these acts could indicate an escalation of political tensions and that the intimidation could turn into more violent acts if the perpetrators are not identified.
