Initially, Marius Lulea (AUR founder) alerted the police after finding a pig's head at the gate of his home during the night, along with a poster stuck to his car. Lulea said that, before the incident, he had also noticed a poster with a threatening message in the area, and the authorities began reviewing footage captured by surveillance cameras to identify the people involved.
Subsequently, AUR called on the authorities to investigate the case and establish responsibility, while George Simion, in turn, called for a swift, evidence-based investigation, without “televised verdicts.” Just a few days after the first incident, Lulea also reported a second pig's head left at the premises of a company in Tunari, and a retired SRI colonel warned that the repetition of such acts could indicate an escalation and that the intimidation could become more violent if the perpetrators were not identified.
