The police in Ploiești conducted seven searches in Buzău and Prahova in a embezzlement case, targeting truck drivers who allegedly embezzled goods.

Police from Section 2 Ploiești, under the coordination of the prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office next to the Ploiești Court, conducted seven home searches on Wednesday in the counties of Buzău and Prahova, in a case of embezzlement.

The investigation targets several individuals employed as truck drivers in an international transport company, who, between March and June 2026, allegedly misappropriated goods, particularly laptops, causing an estimated damage of approximately 55,000 euros.

The search activities involved police from various specialized offices, as well as gendarmes, and seven individuals will be taken for questioning to clarify their involvement in this case.
