The police and prosecutors are conducting searches in Constanța County in a bank fraud case, in which investigators claim that low-income individuals were recruited to obtain bank loans based on false documents.

The police executed 31 search warrants, targeting 30 individuals, both in the municipality of Constanța and in other localities. The acts are said to have been committed from 2024 until now, and a woman, with the help of other accomplices, allegedly recruited people with modest incomes, offering them false documents to obtain loans. The searches target both the homes of the individuals involved and the headquarters of a credit institution. The total estimated damage in this case exceeds 1.7 million lei, and the individuals targeted will be brought in for questioning.
