Police in Bihor conducted 18 searches at two commercial companies in Oradea, as part of an investigation into tax evasion. Between 2021 and August 2023, representatives of a construction company allegedly registered fictitious purchase documents, simulating purchases of goods and services from 15 firms, with the aim of reducing the taxable base and avoiding the payment of approximately 8 million lei in taxes and duties.

Another company, operating in the same field, allegedly made fictitious purchases from 8 firms, all represented by the same person, causing an estimated damage of 2.4 million lei. The total damage to the state budget is approximately 10.4 million lei. During the searches, several documents relevant to the investigation were seized.
