The Ministry of Education has officially announced the structure of the school year 2026-2027, which will start on September 7, 2026, and will end on June 18, 2027, having a duration of 36 weeks of classes. The 12th grade day classes, 13th grade evening classes, and reduced attendance classes will have 34 weeks, ending on June 4, 2027, while the 8th grade will have 35 weeks, finishing on June 11, 2027.

The national programs 'School otherwise' and 'Green week' will take place between September 7, 2026, and April 23, 2027. The school vacation will be set by the school inspectorates between February 15 and March 7, 2027. The Ministry emphasized that the proposals to modify the structure of the school year were not adopted, as they would have affected the conduct of national exams. The project regarding the structure of the school year 2026-2027 was put up for debate on January 23. Maintaining educational programs is considered essential for integrating theory with practice, supporting the socio-emotional development of students. The official order will be published on the Ministry of Education's website after publication in the Official Gazette.
