<p>A union of clerks reported a serious incident at the Vâlcea Tribunal, where Judge Bogdan Mateescu, a candidate for the presidency of the Pitești Court of Appeal, allegedly verbally assaulted a clerk, pushing her out of the office. The clerk was called in for a discussion that had nothing to do with her professional duties, and when she refused to talk about her private life, Mateescu became aggressive. The clerk's husband called 112, and the police opened an investigation. The union reported that the clerk had been subjected to administrative and disciplinary harassment for a year, but the Vâlcea Tribunal denied the allegations, stating that the clerk had exhibited inappropriate behavior. Mateescu, who has held important positions in the judicial system, is accused of harassment and of improperly managing the court.
