The Security Service of Ukraine announced that the Sea Baby maritime drones did not enter Romanian territorial waters, after one drone was neutralized by Romania.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) stated that all of its Sea Baby maritime drones engaged in the Black Sea have been identified and did not enter Romanian territorial waters, thus respecting international law. This reaction came after the Romanian Ministry of National Defense reported the neutralization of a maritime drone 36 miles east of Constanța, which posed a threat to navigation. Romanian military divers destroyed the drone through controlled detonation.

Sea Baby is a naval drone developed by the SBU, with a range of up to 1,500 km and a payload capacity of nearly 2 tons. Concerns regarding navigation safety in the Black Sea have increased, and Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey are collaborating to defuse stray mines in the area.
