The Association of Structural Design Engineers (AICPS) issued a serious warning after the devastating explosion in the Rahova neighborhood, highlighting the dangers for people approaching the affected building.

Experts mention that the building has a structure made of prefabricated panels, and the remaining floors in cantilever pose a high risk of collapse.

The fragile panels may give way, and large construction elements may fall, endangering anyone within 12 meters of the area.

AICPS recommends increased caution for both intervention teams and citizens, who must respect the established safety perimeters. AICPS offers support to the authorities for assessing the structure and determining the necessary intervention measures.
