Romcim, part of the Irish group CRH, has finalized the construction of a wind farm that will power the cement factory in Medgidia.

<p>The wind farm includes 5 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of about 30 MW and will produce renewable energy, contributing to a reduction of more than 40,000 tons of CO2 annually in the national energy mix. The project has received grant funding through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. It supports investments in new solar and wind electricity generation capacity.
