The interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruță, announced that ROMATSA will contest the decision of the Bucharest Court of Appeal which temporarily suspended the company's license for one month, following allegations of discrimination in hiring made by 12 individuals.
Miruță emphasized that the decision is not final and that ROMATSA will defend its position in court. In the event that the ruling remains final, the Ministry of Defense will take over the responsibilities of managing national air traffic, although Miruță considers this scenario unlikely.
Additionally, ROMATSA is facing a seizure on its accounts, instituted at the request of Pfizer, for a debt of 600 million euros related to vaccines. ROMATSA is contesting this seizure at the Brussels Court of First Instance, having confidence in the solidity of the defense prepared by a team of specialized lawyers. The first hearing in this case is scheduled for July 28.
