Former communist prisons in Romania, such as Sighet, Pitesti, Jilava, Râmnicu Sărat and Făgăraș, could become part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The Minister of Culture stressed the importance of preserving these places as places of memory, learning and reflection. She prepared a roadmap for the completion of the application file for Romania's inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
