The National Company Romanian Post (CNPR) recorded a turnover of 1.77 billion lei in 2025, an increase of 3.2% compared to 2024, but the net profit dropped dramatically to 10.2 million lei, down from 70.72 million lei. The number of employees fell to 19,931, continuing the downward trend, following the reorganization and restructuring process imposed by the Government.

The company's debts increased by 8.6%, reaching 622.3 million lei, while receivables decreased by 14.1%, to 231.6 million lei. Valentin Ștefan, the head of the Romanian Post, mentioned that the reorganization plan was drawn up under the pressure of the Government, highlighting the difficulties of modernizing state-owned companies.

Recently, the Romanian Post opened a regional logistics hub in Bucharest, investing 50 million lei. The shareholders of the company are the Ministry of Economy (93.75%) and the Property Fund (6.25%).
