In the wake of the devastating floods in Suceava and Neamț counties, the Romanian Government has approved emergency financial aid to help the victims. The aid ranges from 15,000 to 30,000 lei, depending on the degree of damage to homes. More than 850 houses were damaged and 3 people died. The procedures for granting aid are simplified, with no applications or social enquiries. The government has also sent additional aid, including food and temporary shelter, to help those affected.
