Florin Barbu, the Minister of Agriculture, announced the signing of a Memorandum with China, which will allow Romanian farmers to export agri-food products to this market, starting immediately.
The signed contracts include exports of dairy products, thermally treated chicken meat, and aquatic products. Barbu emphasized the importance of this step, mentioning that Romanian products have a clean label, which influenced China's decision to choose these products. It is estimated that over 30% of dairy products from Romania will reach China, generating significant revenue.
The minister will make a visit to China to discuss future exports, including pork and cereals.
