A Romanian citizen has died and two others were injured in an incident in DR Congo. MAE has taken steps to obtain official information.

The incident took place near the town of Goma on the border with Rwanda. No requests for consular assistance have been received so far. MAE recalls that a level 8/9 travel warning - 'Avoid all travel!' - is in force for DR Congo. Romanian citizens can request consular assistance at the telephone numbers of the Romanian Embassy in Luanda.
