The Romanian Aviation Day and the Air Forces will be celebrated on Sunday, July 19, at the Air Heroes Monument in Aviators' Square, where a military and religious ceremony will take place.
Aviation Day is celebrated annually on July 20, when Saint Prophet Elijah the Tishbite, the spiritual patron of aviators, is commemorated.
Starting at 10:00 AM, the Romanian Air Forces will conduct flyovers with various aircraft, including F-16 Fighting Falcon, C-130 Hercules, C-27J Spartan, and EC-135 SMURD helicopters. Additionally, Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft from the Italian and British Air Forces will participate.
On the occasion of this celebration, on Saturday, the Romanian Air Forces presented their educational offer at the National Military Circle Palace in Bucharest, highlighting the importance of education in the field of aviation.
