CNAB has signed a contract for the delivery of security screening equipment that will enable the lifting of restrictions on liquids, aerosols and gels in carry-on baggage. Installation and commissioning of this equipment is estimated for the first quarter of 2026. Passengers will also be able to carry containers of liquids up to 2 liters, but only at airports with the new detection systems. The European Commission has authorized these changes and Romanian airports will inform passengers about the new travel rules.
