Ionuț Moșteanu, the Minister of Defense, stated that any Russian drone that enters Romanian territory will be shot down, according to orders received by pilots and operational teams. In the context of Russian attacks on Ukrainian localities, Moșteanu mentioned that, on the previous night, drones were observed very close to the Romanian border, and Romanian and German planes were prepared to intervene. The Ministry of National Defense confirmed that Romanian airspace has not been violated by these drones, but approval has been granted to shoot down any aerial targets that may enter national airspace.
