At the meeting of the Council of Europe in Chișinău, the interim Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Ţoiu, announced that Romania will adhere to the Extended Partial Agreement on the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine, emphasizing the country's commitment to supporting the accountability of those who violate international law. Together with the Republic of Moldova, Romania has sent a joint message against external interference and disinformation campaigns, highlighting their impact on democracy.


Oana Ţoiu discussed the escalation of information manipulation and emphasized the importance of civil society in democracy. At the end of the meeting, the ministers adopted the Declaration of Chișinău, which reflects the common commitments in the field of migration and cooperation with the European Union. Romania reaffirms its commitment to human rights and international cooperation to address current challenges.
