Romania is being promoted in Great Britain through three tourism videos made by British producer Charlie Ottley at the request of the Ministry of Tourism. The spots, broadcast on BBC World News throughout November, showcase the landscapes, traditions, sounds, and legends that define the country.
The first clip focuses on spectacular mountains, valleys, and natural areas, while the second promotes Romania through the sounds of nature, from the rustling of trees to the clatter of horses’ hooves. The third video draws on the legend of Dracula and was also broadcast during the Halloween period, while emphasizing that Romania means more than the mythology associated with Transylvania.
Each spot lasts approximately one minute, and the three materials will be broadcast 20 times by the end of the month. According to the Minister of Economy and Tourism, Daniel Zamfir, the campaign aims to attract more foreign tourists and capitalize on Romania’s tourism potential.
The promotion is taking place in the context of Romania’s participation in the World Travel Market, an international event held in London from 3 to 5 November.
