Daniel Zamfir supports the collaboration with Charlie Ottley for the tourism promotion of Romania/ The current contract is worth approximately 4,000 euros

Romania will continue to be promoted through collaborations with British journalist Charlie Ottley, who has become a Romanian citizen, said Daniel Zamfir, minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism. The statement follows the Halloween release of a video produced by Ottley, whose message is that Romania is more than the legend of Count Dracula.

Asked whether he intends to continue such projects, the minister said that the current collaboration was contracted by his predecessor and is worth approximately 4,000 euros. Daniel Zamfir said Ottley’s promotional work is “extremely useful” and noted that the journalist will continue to have “the door open” for collaborations with the ministry.

Charlie Ottley is known for the documentary series Wild Carpathia, produced between 2011 and 2019, Flavours of Romania and Wild Danube. His productions have presented Romania’s landscapes, traditions, cuisine and natural heritage to an international audience. The minister provided no details about future projects or their timetable.
