The second auction organized by the Ministry of Energy aims to attract investors for 3,472 MW of new renewable energy capacity, including 2,000 MW of onshore wind and 1,472 MW of solar PV. The CfD support scheme guarantees a minimum sales price for the energy, with application deadlines until July 11, 2025. The funding comes from a €3 billion EU grant, but administrative costs will be borne by consumers. Winners will be announced in August and CfD contracts will be signed in September.
