Romania ranks last in the EU when it comes to the number of people interacting with public institutions through official websites or apps.

According to Eurostat data, only 23% of Romanians have used public authorities' websites or apps in the last 12 months, compared to an EU average of 69%. Digitization Minister Bogdan Ivan believes that the problem is not the level of digital skills of the population, but the lack of intuitive and simple applications offered by the state.
