According to Eurostat data, Romania ranks last in the European Union regarding the use of generative artificial intelligence, with only 17.8% of Romanians aged between 16 and 74 using these tools in 2025. This percentage is significantly below the European average and much lower than countries like Norway, Denmark, or Switzerland, where nearly half of the population frequently uses AI. Although access to technology is becoming easier, the use of AI in Romania remains limited, with most Romanians using it only occasionally for simple tasks. An interesting aspect is that Romanians who use AI do so frequently to obtain answers to personal dilemmas, such as relationship issues or emotional decisions.
