Bogdan Ivan, the Minister of Energy, stated that Romania has sufficient fuel stocks to cover needs for five months, coming from commercial and emergency reserves. In an interview with Antena 3, he emphasized that, in the event the country would no longer produce or import fuel, the existing stocks would be enough to meet demand.
Ivan mentioned that, although there are speculations regarding the increase in fuel prices, the interventions of the authorities have contributed to maintaining the lowest price increases in the European Union. He highlighted the complexity of the global situation and assured that Romania has diversified routes for importing gasoline and diesel, which provides greater stability compared to other European states.
