Alexandru Rogobete announced that the official discussions held in Madrid with the Spanish authorities in the pharmaceutical field focused on solutions for strengthening the medicine market. These meetings took place at the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products, where topics such as regulation, supply chains, and the stability of the pharmaceutical market were addressed. Rogobete emphasized the importance of developing internal production capacities and creating a predictable framework for patients and the industry. An essential aspect of the discussions was the identification of financial mechanisms to support access to innovative medicines, especially for oncology patients and those with rare diseases. The minister mentioned that Romania should learn from the successful models of other European states. Regulations for off-label treatments and support for the local pharmaceutical industry were also discussed, with the aim of increasing domestic production. Rogobete highlighted the progress in patient access to reimbursed treatments, emphasizing that this effort will continue.
