During recent meetings, Romanian and French officials emphasized the importance of the Romanian-French Strategic Partnership for strengthening security on NATO's Eastern Flank, appreciating France's contribution to the Cincu Battle Group. They agreed on a constant strategic dialog and intensified cooperation in the context of the challenges in the Black Sea and the Western Balkans. Ionuț Moșteanu also discussed with the new Ukrainian Minister of Defense the development of joint projects in the framework of the European SAFE initiative, reaffirming Romania's support for Ukraine.
