A 32-year-old Romanian citizen was arrested in Italy after attacking a 44-year-old Moroccan man with a knife near the Fontivegge train station in Perugia. The incident occurred after the assailant threatened and insulted several people in the area before focusing on the victim, with whom he had an ongoing conflict. The victim tried to defend himself but was stabbed multiple times, suffering serious injuries to his face and chest. After the attack, the man called for police assistance and was urgently transported to the hospital. The investigation, coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office in Perugia, was based on the victim's statements and footage from surveillance cameras, which confirmed the act. The suspect was apprehended and taken to the Perugia prison, where he will remain in preventive detention.
