At Marconi Airport in Bologna, a 30-year-old Romanian was arrested before boarding a flight to Romania, after police discovered stolen goods worth 5,389.79 euros in his luggage. The incident was reported by employees of a store who noticed the suspicious behavior of the man, who quickly left the store with a pair of sunglasses.
The Border Police intervened promptly, reconstructing the suspect's movements and locating him in the departures terminal. His luggage contained 15 perfumes and 8 pairs of glasses, all original and with tags attached.
The goods were returned to the stores, and the man, with no criminal record, was reported for aggravated theft. The police's quick intervention prevented the suspect from reaching the boarding gate with the stolen products.
