Alexandru Rogobete, former Minister of Health, reacted to the accusations of interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, who called him a "firestarter" of the health strike.
Rogobete claims that the protests are not driven by salary demands, but by the requests of medical staff for respect, the unblocking of positions, and better working conditions.
The former Minister of Health invited the interim Prime Minister to visit a hospital to observe the reality of the healthcare system.
"I invite Mr. Ilie Bolojan to leave the one-on-one shows and statements and to come here, alongside me and the medical staff. I will take him around the hospital, in the ICU, in the Emergency Room, in the operating room, and through the wards. Maybe he will change his opinion. From the office and from the tables, things may look good, but the reality is completely different and he does not want to understand this." said Alexandru Rogobete.
He also criticizes Bolojan's statements about the income of medical staff, arguing that analyses show a decrease in their earnings. The former minister proposes that compensatory amounts be included in salaries and emphasizes that protests will continue until an agreement is reached with the Government.
The protests in the healthcare system have reached their third day, and employees threaten to take to the streets if a solution is not reached.
