Road accident on Calea Giulești: a car caught fire, without victims

On Sunday morning, around 07:00, a traffic accident occurred on Calea Giulești in Bucharest, near the STB station Piața Giulești, involving two cars. A 21-year-old man, who was driving from Bulevardul Constructorilor towards Drumul Săbăreni, collided with a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old man. As a result of the impact, one of the cars caught fire.

Both drivers were tested with a breathalyzer, and the young man had a blood alcohol level of 0.39 mg/l, while the other driver had zero alcohol. Drug tests were negative for both. Fortunately, the accident did not result in any casualties, only material damages. The two drivers were directed to the Light Accidents Office to resolve the case.
