On Tuesday night, April 7, a RO-Alert message was issued for the northern area of Tulcea County, following recent Russian attacks in Ukraine, near the border with Romania. The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) informed that two aerial incursions were detected near the border, but they did not enter national airspace.
In the early hours of the day, the forces of the Russian Federation carried out drone attacks on civilian and infrastructure targets in Ukraine, which prompted the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) to alert the population in northern Tulcea County. The RO-Alert message was sent at 00:58, and the air alert was lifted at 1:46.
Residents were informed about the possible fall of objects from the airspace and were advised to follow the recommendations of the authorities and to call the emergency number 112 in case of suspicious observations. MApN emphasized that its forces remain vigilant, maintaining the necessary measures to protect the population and national territory.
