The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) issued a red flood warning on Wednesday for the counties of Constanța and Tulcea, valid from July 22, 18:00, until July 23, 12:00.
During this period, rapid floods and increases in flow rates are expected on the rivers in the northern half of Constanța County and on those in Tulcea County, with the risk of exceeding flood protection levels. Additionally, an orange warning is active on several rivers in the country, including Tărlung, Bârsa, and Olt, between July 22, 12:00, and July 23, 16:00.
Furthermore, a yellow flood warning will be in effect on various watercourses in several counties, including Argeș, Dâmbovița, and Buzău, until July 23, 00:00. Another yellow warning will affect the rivers Jiu, Gilort, and Motru, from Wednesday afternoon until Thursday at 8:00.
Authorities recommend caution and monitoring of the hydrological situation.
