The National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies in Romania (UNSAR) has announced that the highest compensation for damage caused by torrential rain amounted to about 7 million lei. The 20 largest claims totaled almost 30 million lei. UNSAR President Alexandru Ciuncan emphasized that insurance is essential for protecting businesses against extreme weather and other risks, ensuring their continuity and stability. Although only 1 out of 5 companies has insurance, the compensation paid daily exceeds 1 million lei.
