On Saturday, an undirected reactive projectile, loaded with two kilograms of explosives, was found in the yard of an uninhabited property in the locality of Pardina, Tulcea County, according to the Ministry of National Defense (MApN).
This type of projectile, a non-guided rocket, is frequently used by the Romanian Army in exercises and has a range of 3-4 kilometers. Technical checks carried out by specialists confirmed the presence of explosives in the body of the projectile. MApN announced that the perimeter has been secured, and representatives of the Police, Border Police, and the Romanian Intelligence Service are on site.
A team of MApN specialists is on its way to assess the situation. The case is being investigated by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Constanța Court of Appeal. Citizens are advised to follow the recommendations of the authorities and to monitor official information.
This incident occurs in a context where alerts regarding possible incursions of drones have become frequent in Tulcea County.
