Raluca Turcan, PNL deputy, mocked the PSD leader, Sorin Grindeanu, emphasizing that he needs to demonstrate logic in political negotiations. Turcan stated that if Grindeanu does not want to collaborate with Ilie Bolojan, the president of PNL, then PNL will go into Opposition.
President Nicușor Dan declared that discussions for forming a Government will continue until a pro-Western majority is crystallized. Turcan reiterated that PNL will no longer sit at the same table with PSD, which has toppled a functional government. She also rejected the idea of a technocrat prime minister, arguing that he would be unable to take tough measures in the face of political sabotage from PSD. Turcan concluded that PNL wants a prime minister from its ranks, who will be supported by the party and by Romanians.
